Monumental Day of Blogging

If you missed my last post, I shared information about the New York National Monuments.  As of today, there are 129 National Monuments, many of these which are places people go to escape, find peace, and make memories.  To many of us outdoor adventurers, there are acres of wilderness and open skies that are deeply significant to us.  A group of us bloggers came together, organized by Scott from Just Get Out More, to spread the awareness about these National Monuments: what they are, why they are important, and how you can help keep them protected.  Please read as many as you can and get your comments out by July 10.

This is such a cool project! I live in AZ and I’ve been meaning to visit more national parks (besides the Grand Canyon, obviously) and I love learning about other place to visit in the US. Great post!!

I’ve done a lot of traveling to cities lately but after reading through some of your blog posts you have inspired me to think about traveling to national parks around the US. I used to go on roadtrips with my family to some of the parks along the west coast but I think I am in need of a revisit =o)

Glad I could help inspire you! I think National Parks can be a totally different (and amazing) experience than just visiting cities. 🙂

I love this, Rachel! I dunno if I’ve ever mentioned but my goal is to eventually see all the national parks then all the national monuments. One adventure at a time y’know? Checking out these links now.
