Best of Backcountry Petite: October 2017
October 2017: Thank you to everyone who has stopped by Backcountry Petite, read our posts, left comments, as well as engaged on social media. I had a slower blogging month because I’ve been busy focusing on some fitness goals. I also started re-aligning some priorities like… sleep! I was really putting sleep to the wayside so I could get blog posts completed and have decided that isn’t going to work for me long term. So, I’m still going to be blogging but probably not as often. I also put a poll on Twitter about incorporating some fitness-related posts into Backcountry Petite and respondents seemed open to the idea.
In the meantime,
- If you are a blogger and have any interest in guest blogging, I am accepting 1 post per month. Please email me your ideas for your guest post.
- If you have an outdoors job, we would love to hear from you: [see here…]
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the posts so far and found them helpful. If you have ideas to share, please leave comments, send an email, or reach out on one of the following:
If you’re new to Backcountry Petite or missed any posts, here’s a roundup of the posts from October 2017:
Resources, Gear, & Adventure
5 Favorite Fitness Items (Oct 2017): As I mentioned above, I will be incorporating some fitness into this blog. Each month I’ve been sharing 5 favorite items (September was 5 Favorite Outdoor Adventure Items). If you’re into fitness at all, check out 5 of my current favorite things.
Stay Beautiful Outdoors: Love being outdoors but hate feeling ugly and dirty? Here are a few of my recommendations for staying beautiful in your outdoor adventures. Just a few little pieces of gear can make all the difference in how you feel.
Pink Adventure Gear – Breast Cancer Awareness Month: In honor of breast cancer awareness, I’ve dug up some great adventure gear in the color pink! I’m not much of a pink person myself but a lot of women love holding on to bits of their femininity when they’re in the backcountry so gear like this is perfect for that!
Staying Sober in NYC: NYC is full of bars and nightlife but there is SO much more to do around the city! Whether or not you’re a drinker, get inspired by these ideas the next time you’re making plans! Don’t live in NYC? A lot of these activities will still pertain to you no matter where you live.
